It is my personal theory that goals and attainment are not just good ideas, but a human necessity. Everyone needs to be able to set their own goals and purposes, then see them through. I am a native New Yorker and I was an honors student from the beginning. I now hold a Bachelor of Behavioral Science and a Master of Elementary and Special Education. I also hold a teaching certificate from the state of Pennsylvania and a brain injury specialist certification. My degrees, certification, and personal passion allow me to provide educational support to those of all different backgrounds. One of the things that helps me to stand out as a tutor is that I constantly collaborate with other professionals, such as social workers, psychologists, and other service providers that can give me more insight on how to help students who may have personal and sensitive issues. One way that I reach the students that I tutor is discovering their life inspirations and use their personal interests in preparing lessons. I use outside of the box tutoring methods, including games, interactive activities, and approaches that exercise a number of skill sets at once.
