Hello, my name is Gwen and I am a substitute teacher for the DOE. As a substitute teacher, I am able to work with a variety of students in general and alternative settings. I work primarily with students at the elementary level but have also instructed both middle and high school students. I graduated from Brooklyn Technical high school and received a B.A. in Film Analysis from Hunter College. I am current completing my Master's in Childhood Education. I will provide a stimulating environment that fosters confidence and encourages each child to reach their full potential. My goal is to motivate students in finding their inner strengths, abilities and activities that inspire them. I am proficient in developing lesson plans, stimulating thematic untis and assessing individuals. I am extremely confident and have excellent communication skills. My focus would be tutoring students in grades K-6 but I will also provide lessons for students in grades 7-12. Also, I tutor ESL students who want to improve their English speaking skills. In addition, I am able to provide help for individuals taking the English and/or Earth Science regents.
