In 2011, I graduated from James Madison University with a bachelor's in chemistry. Two years later, I completed my master's program at Pennsylvania State University in the same field. During that time, I've had the pleasure of teaching various types of chemistry, including organic and advanced organic chemistry, to eager college students. I also worked as a teacher's assistant, where I assisted with organic chemistry lectures and helped run the lab sessions. Along with teaching college-level chemistry, I also have experience with helping high school students prepare for college entrance exams, as well as assisting undergraduates with preparing for the GRE. As a tutor, I believe that the best way to teach is by taking a student-centered approach. Every student has the ability to solve the most challenging problems that chemistry has to offer, and it's my job to teach them how to use their resources to succeed. I also strive to make my tutoring sessions fun and engaging, so that students are interested to learn more about chemistry and how it impacts them in their day-to-day lives, so that they'll be inspired to learn more in their free time. Outside of being a tutor, I also like watching and playing soccer.
